I personally really like this place. One of the only beaches that you can drive on in Sydney. Taking your stuff with you and not having to cart it from the parking area. There is no shade and no toilet amenities so need to be prepared for both. The beach is not patrolled and the water can have rips in at times. However the waves are not huge and the water is clean making it great for young children There is a $30 Per car access fee to the beach but still makes for a cheap day out. Garbage bins are provided on the way out of the park. So make sure your rubbish is taken with you. It is becoming a very popular place and can be extremely busy. The only negative that I see is people not obeying the park rules and spoling it for others. There is a 10km/ph speed limit on the beach. Set in place as a safety rule as there are children and dogs around and some people don't want to adhere to this rule. The park staff are very good at policing this and patrol the beach frequently. Access via a 4WD-only track (Boat Harbour 4WD Park off Captain Cook Drive) or by foot from Sir Joseph Banks Drive entrance. A day permit (around AUD 8–30) is required upon entry to the park .
