Worth the super steep trek down to this gorgeous little beach. You feel quite secluded. We only saw a handful of locals, including the surf life savers. They packed up around 4pm though. We only swam in the flags, I wouldn’t swim outside of them even as a strong swimmer. There were rips and big swells where the surfers were. Epic surfing spot. We lied on the beach and watched them, some really good surfers come here. Rockpools we’re nice to explore. There is a toilet you can use in the Surf Life Saving building, and a shower outside. The houses in this area overlooking the ocean were worth the trip itself - wow!!

You'll need to park on the street, few limited spots there. Then you start walking down the hill, a lovely track that opens up to the beach. Went there on a Sunday but there was very few people there, quite calm and private.

How great is this beautiful beach. Wow! We haven't been there in years. Walk down the steep driveway and it just appears, awesome place, no one there on Friday and an outstanding day. Bungan Beach you are a little gem.

probably give it a miss if you want a pleasant swim or frolic in the surf! Unpatrolled from April, messy, has an unpleasant gutter running the length/majority of the beach which is hard to swim across , sandbar just beyond it which causes largeish, annoying waves in shallow water and at least one rip. Combined with very limited parking plus dangerously narrow & tortuous access roads. Is good if you want relative seclusion or a rugged...

This is a great little quiet beach.

What might draw it back is that it isn’t really the best spot for those who want to surf in comparison to other beaches in the area, and can become a difficult place to stay when it is very windy.

Though if you appreciate a quieter beach spot then this is...
