Experience:

Cronulla Sand Dunes is a bit tricky on the maps. There is a long trail but you should make a turn there or else you will end up on the Cronulla Beach which is quite a distance from the Sand Dunes. Also, bring your hats when going here because it is a long walk in the sand and no shade.

Appearance: The sand dunes was ‘fine’ for me. Some people might find it too awe-inspiring, but for any well-travelled person, it’s that not stunning. It’s unique on its own way but for some reason, it has a bit of artificial feeling for me. Nevertheless, this place is quite enjoyable.

Planning your Trip: The good thing about this place is that if you had already gotten bored of playing around and taking photos at the Sand Dunes, you can walk to the Cronulla Beach near this place. The beach has a good view for it has an integration of Urban Life and Nature. Quite an interesting view for me. Just be warned that the smell of the sea here is...

The sand dunes are a must-visit spot, tucked away in the more hidden area at the back of the beach. Getting there can be a bit challenging and tiring—the trail involves going downhill, climbing uphill, and walking on soft sand that easily fills your shoes. The path is quite narrow, with bushes encroaching from both sides, so staying alert is essential. Be mindful of wildlife, especially snakes; I encountered a red-bellied snake on my way.

For this trek, I highly recommend carrying essentials like a water bottle, a hat, and sunglasses, particularly on hot days. If you start from the beach and walk all the way to where the trail ends at Captain Cook Drive, the total distance is about 5 km—so plan your trip...

Beautiful place but full of flies. I went there with Pierino, Camomilla, Sakè and Amen. We enjoyed the place even if the dogs attacked us to lick our faces and taste some of our beers. We saw many strange australian people playing finska Instead of beach volley or sports for men. The best part was rolling in the dunes with the sunset. One guy was filming us with the drone but he didn't want to send us the video. Maybe because Scooby doo pa pa. Anyway be careful about spiders, there are a lot that came out in the night, it's strange to see spiders in Australia but there are a lot in this place and they are...

The Cronulla Sand Dunes are such a unique spot. Walking through feels like you’re in another world. Endless sand, beautiful views of the ocean and a really peaceful vibe. It’s a bit of a workout climbing the dunes, but totally worth it once you get to the top and see the view. Great place for a walk, photos, or just to clear your head.
