We were interested to see the bridge seeing as it was listed as "historic", but although the bridge is there doing its job in the middle of the bush, there is absolutely no info given about it or particularly why it is historic or special. This was a disappointment for us. The view over the creek is peaceful. Unfortunately swimming is forbidden (water is dangerous for drinking & swimming) because it looks like a pleasant spot, with the slightly overhanging rocks on one side. Getting there and back was hard work (particularly back up the hills) from Quarry Rd End of trail (& you had to pass "illegally" through the back of the rifle range).
