A beautiful spot to picnic. Lots of parking, shaded tables, toilets. Taps for water, says bbq facilities however these are basically a brick pit with a metal grill plate, you need to bring your own wood. Grill plates very rusted with age, personally I wouldn't cook on these but if you brought along a frypan or 2 that might work. In all a great spot to picnic for a few hours.. No official swimming area, however one could go for a dip.. best views are high...

Great place to take the dog for a walk during the week. Gets busy on weekends with picnickers. Not a great place to swim or have a picnic. Very muddy and is a breeding ground for Bull sharks, I have seen a few there. Be careful letting your dog swim there in warmer months. Lots of mossies around dawn and dusk and cicadas can get pretty loud in summer. There are many other better places on the northern beaches for picnics...

What a surprise when we stopped there. We were not expecting to find such an amazing place. One of the most peaceful place I have been around Sydney. The water is calm. Atmosphere is relax. People having barbecues, playing with dogs.... it was almost sunset and the lights were so good. We could admire the splendid houses that are along the River. Perfect spot for a picnic or just read a book.

This is a hidden gem in Ku-ring-gai National Park, beautiful spot with water front, fishing, small trails, ample of parking. public toilets. Boat hire option and very calm environment with a feeling of rain forest. Must visit if you are looking for some quiet time. Only negative, that we cannot buy food here but Maccars Creek is very nearby and lot of options for food.
