Great 210 degree vista from the top (have to walk over a few rocks to get there) and another 90 between the trees just a little from the top,

This is essentially a 1.6km flat path, followed by a 1km steep stair climb path on rough terrain, it involves steps that are quite high, at odd angles and you really should keep google open when going up as there are 2 poorly marked path splits,

From parking lot, after walking for a bit, first turn left at the street sign, then right when it splits near the lake, it will eventually join back up with that path, but its longer, next split is a fair way up the stairs, its fairly clearly marked, but its a left, finally when you come across the flat section with the big over hanging rocks, there is a small red arrow pointing right, he is the path to the top.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU SEE THE FENCING, I myself went for a fall on the way down, it caught me when I was going a bit too fast,

This is only recommended for people who feel they can knee lift for half an hour, if your still keen anyway, go after 2PM when the sun is mostly blocked by the mountain for most of the climb, bring water, and make sure any bags are above knee height off the ground or they will hit many rocks.

There are toilets and a tap you can drink from at the parking lot, and your in reception for the whole walk...

While driving from Macquarie Fields towards there road was beautifully beautiful 😍 but when it was nearer the Rock look out 2 km road was not fully ok but driving is ok and seeing not so many cars felt to come back but the suddenly saw people cars passing then we went there finding was difficult to look out as it is left hand side down there to go up there are rock stairs but need to be very carefully while taking photos just stayed middle of the rock and seeing speed boat down to the water far from us while standing top of the rock and seeing many rocks standing thought 🤔 people built that rock actually GOD made it meanings it is natural rock ..... Me and my husband wanted to walk but walking was not wis there as no proper instruction and we might lost if god los happened with my colleagues so we decided to just see the look out and came back. Beautiful road while driving ,nature look out was stunning and weather was beautiful. Avoiding standing side off the road as might slipped to the down easy ..... Being advanturist is good but safety first need to keep in mind as well visiting there while no rain would be the wise because 2 km road is not good in raining time as well standing on the top of the rock not safe on rainy day...

Went to three of the lookout points, the rock lookout, rileys lookout and nepean lookdown. First, the last 2km of the drive is via a gravel road, so lowered cars should be a no go. The rock lookout point is a couple of mins walk from the parking area. the rileys lookout point is an extra 45-60mins walk. And the Nepean is about another hour extra. Best view for me would be the Rileys lookout and the rock is a very close second. The Nepean is also good but dont expect something more beautiful than the first two just because you did the extra hours. Would have been nice if there were more signage how much further each sites were in. Also saw some kangaroos 🥰 Altogether a good hike! Free parking Went there on a Saturday morning. Were there from 6am - 11am, left the car by itself to hike and came back there were only...

5/5 - DEFINITELY WORTH THE VISIT This place is one of the best places I have been in New South Wales. The beauty of this place cannot be justified by photos alone. PERHAPS THE ONLY ISSUE OF THIS PLACE is that the SIGNAGES ARE STUPIDLY Placed that you think that cliff is already the lookout. You have to walk a couple of meters before you witness the beauty of this place. Dont fail to visit this place because it highlights the following: • Beauty of Nepean River in between the mountain ranges • The untouched mountains and forests of Australia • The resplendent woods of Mulgoa IF YOU CANT FIND THE PLACE WHEN YOU VISIT THIS, JUST KEEP LOOKING, IT IS NEARBY. THE SIGNS ARE JUST STUPIDLY PLACED. I TELL YOU IT IS WORTH THE VISIT.
