The island is separated with mainland Australia by the Bass Straight & TAS is the smallest state of the country. We came during the whale watching season but it's so-o windy so we hired car to self explore the island. Highlights're the rides to Mount Wellington, Table Cape... where we could see more scenic views of Tasmania's coasts & farmlands. Stunning views even await at the very end of a quiet countryside lane towards the Lighthouse. Trully romantic destination.

Great view in some sections but not very visible due to trees and shrubs. We were lucky enough to see lots of wallabies or potaroos or similar and then a massive tiger snake which saw us walk quickly back to the car. The lighthouse is closed, and there's nothing really to see or do once you walk over to it. The walk is relatively easy, slipper in some sections. It's not the best, not the worst, so it's just an average walk for me

If you’re on the highway between Bernie and Stanley make sure you take this little detour, it’s like only 5minutes or so off the highway. Apart from the gorgeous views there is a little walk between the lookout and lighthouse, so don’t be lazy it’s worth doing, so park at either the lookout or lighthouse and take a stroll.

We were the only ones here in October. There are some signs with info and depending on the season you can spot whales (I would recommend binoculars). There's a short walk (800m) along the cliff to the lighthouse. Saw lots of birds and butterflies. Saw about 10 superb fairy wrens. The walk looks very new or recently renovated. The gravel in some inclined parts was a bit slippery so just be careful. The walk has fields on one side and views of the sea on the other. There were tulip fields in the distance. You can't enter the lighthouse but there are information boards about the history and there is a free audiobook tour available (self-guided via phone). Lots of daffodils and birds around. It seemed most people drove to the lighthouse but you can either park at the viewpoint and walk to the lighthouse and back or the...

The place is very accessible, only twenty minutes drive from Burnie. There is spacious car parking with so many spaces. The lookout is brilliant with beautiful scenery and splendid views. There is a nice trail leading to the lighthouse, the hike is not difficult, however there is a bit of a down steep and can be slippery when wet. There are a few picnic tables beside the lighthouse itself. It is a nice place and definitely worth a visit. You might encounter a few pademelons running around, also there are some birds in the area that you might spot, welcome swallows,Superb fairy-wrens, ravens, and wagtails. The view on the cliff is magnificent specially on a nice sunny day. I must say i liked this place and i will definitely be visiting again. Please check the...
