This place has been in my bucket list for a few years, finally made it...
Firstly the dirt road is not bad, could do easily on any vehicle. The stairs are perfect and easy to use, wearing shoes is must as it makes your experience easy.
Everyone wants to have the photo inside out creating that wow photo. Please be mindful that the going inside the cave is dangerous as the sand is slippery. Even with good trekking shoes it’s dangerous so please be careful and do not try to attempt to go deep into the cave.
The rock pools are amazing and you will be surprised to see a lot of sea creatures. If your going with kids it would be great for the kids to explore the rock pools. Just be alert to keep an eye on them...
Read moreThis place is a must do if you’re in the area, it’s breathtakingly beautiful from the rock formations, sea and of course the cave. There are wooden steps staggered down to the bottom (not suitable for wheelchairs or people with limited mobility). We were there as the tide was coming in so missed seeing the rock pools to the right. There is also a camping area that you can stay at if you so wish- not sure if it’s a free camp or you pay the local council online. Read moreWoolshed Cave was brilliant! It was a beautiful, calm day, so further exploration of the rocks was possible. Wear good walking shoes as the surface is slippery (like sand) in some spots and slimy in others. The natural features of the rocks are really beautiful. Car parking is a bit haphazard.
