This is really a remarkable place built and run by volunteer staff. It's worth coming here just to take a bushwalk on one of their elevated walkways. If you're lucky, you might see koalas. The staff go looking for them in the morning and will direct you to where they were spotted. The koalas weren't around the day we went, but we did get to see a tawny frogmouth, the nest of a satin bowerbird, and a bearded dragon, all pointed out by the friendly staff. This place is a must-do in...

Was well worth visiting. We spotted a koala right in the place the lovely man at the information area told us it would be. The walk is peaceful with many different types of birds singing. And when you lake your way around the treck there is a beautiful white sandy beach with a swing attached to an old tree that's fallen. A great photo opportunity. One of my favourite...

Port Stephens best kept secret! It’s a lovely place to enjoy nature and entertain the kids while getting in some gentle exercise. It’s about a 30-min easy walk loop. Lots of beautiful plants, though no koalas were spotted unfortunately. Plenty of places to take a photo, rest your legs or dip in the water. Very friendly and helpful volunteers add warmth to...

Please update operating hours. Apart from the board walk / path its always closed. Really wanted to purchase some natives for my garden but it was closed before 2pm If only it had a Cafe that was open on weekends it would be so busy! Especially since there is no Cafe in town now. Would be nice if there was more in the community for those who haven't yet retired.
