We spent two wonderful nights at Bay of Fires Bush Retreat and would absolutely return again. Even though it rained and was damp on the second day, the experience still felt cozy and peaceful. Listening to the sound of rain on the canvas while staying warm inside our glamping tent was such a calm and memorable experience.

The communal cooking area was one of the highlights of our stay. It was well equipped, clean and welcoming, with a friendly atmosphere that made cooking together enjoyable. We bought fresh oysters from Lease 65 Oysters and made Indo Mie for dinner, which turned into a simple but perfect meal. Later that evening, once the rain stopped, my fiancée and I set up a small fire together. It became a fun little project after the rain, and sitting by the fire with a warm drink was one of our favourite moments of the trip.

The amenities were well maintained and practical. The showers had good water pressure, the bathrooms were clean, and everything was thoughtfully organised. The tent was comfortable and cozy, with a soft bed and warm lighting that made it easy to unwind and enjoy the sounds of nature.

The location was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by bushland and only a short drive from the coastline. The retreat strikes a perfect balance between comfort and being immersed in nature.

Overall, our stay at Bay of Fires Bush Retreat was relaxing, memorable and full of small, meaningful moments. Even with the rain, it felt like the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures of nature. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and cozy glamping experience...

The Bay of Fires Bush Retreat, is a place you will never forget. |As a married couple and on our 6th time to visit Tasmania, spending one night here, has eclipsed any other experience we've had to date. It's the little but well thought out inclusions that makes this place so perfect:|* the comfortable and cosy beds in the bell tents are luxurious (the electric blankets were a God send)|* the clean and modern furnishings to style each area (loved the fun outdoor games to play also)|* the shower and bathroom facilities, with great water temperature and pressure (love the idea to repurpose water for the plants)|* the kitchen, dining and honesty bar only enhanced our feelings of being trusted and welcomed. This is such a fabulous idea that we have never experienced before in Tasmania let alone other states we've spent and lived in Australia |* we had breakfast included in our booking and it was cooked to perfection. So modern, so elegant and such a creative professional touch that would leave most modern restaurants and cafes in his wake.||The comfort levels and price we paid for our one night stay was superior to other well known resorts and accommodation in Tassie.||We personally would like to thank the owners for being so brave and bold to have offered such a luxurious and memorable experience.||We dealt with the Manager, Jamie for our visit and believe his knowledge, commitment to customer care and expertise was a massive contribution to our experience. ||So basically, we love Bay of Fires Bush Retreat and will be back and will definitely be spreading the good word for many years to come....

My family and I recently stayed at the Bay of Fires Bush Retreat and it was hands down the highlist of our trip to Tasmania. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the attention to detail and thought that has gone into designing such a special place- pictures do not do this place justice. The property is beautiful and serene and the rooms have so many 'little touches' like heated blankets, comfy pillows etc. No roughing it here! My kids were so excited to see a little jar of marshmallows in the rooms for using by the fireplace that night (which had been pre set up for us!?) The bathroom facilities are well maintained and NOTHING like what you think of when someone says 'communal bathrooms' Our favourite part of our stay was utalising the incredible 'camp kitchen' which was so well planned and stocked. Everything you need is there, complete with staples like pasta, rice etc (even pre made hot choccies- highly recommend) and if you don't feel like cooking, there's a fridge with ready meals, all kinds of yummy Tassie treats to make a nibble platter and a wide range of Tassie wines and beers. We also loved wandering aroud the veggie garden, which guests are welcome to use. These guys have thought of everything and this place will always have a special place in our hearts- truly unique. Thank you for such a gorgeous experience. Book now, you won't be...

Things we didn’t like - in the kitchen dress weren’t labelled etc so dug around for a while trying to find what was where etc - a nice touch would be to have labels and pens so if you BYO groceries you can label them. We left our cream and it would’ve been nice to write on a label “help yourself” - tent height would’ve been better if higher, my partner is 6 foot + and found it just a little bit close to the ceiling - electric blankets don’t heat down near the feet, main body is warm but feet are freezing 🥶 - each fire area needs a “fire starter” box with matches, we had to steal the matches from up at the main ground and walk them down - thinking no one else then had matches for their own fire to start - would be nice if toilet block was signed as this - need more PowerPoints in tent - we only had 1x available for use so charged my phone in the camp kitchen the next morning - need to have decaf tea and decaf coffee Things we liked - location - kitchen! Gorgeous - help yourself to anything - honesty boxes - dessert on site - meals on site - the offer of breakfast - free milk to use - the fire pits - games

we were greeted by a friendly host, jamie, who showed us around the glamping site. the communal kitchen was luxurious with cooking essentials and a honesty bar. it was really spacious with options of "indoor" and outdoor seating. my family really enjoyed the atmosphere because they played acoustic music. it also came with games and 2 fire pits. as for the communal toilets, they were clean and aesthetic. we booked the bunk house and it did not disappoint! side note: be prepared for many creepy crawlies entering your house. the top bunk bed did not have a barrier though.. but the bed was still comfortable to sleep in. there is also a garden where u can pick herbs and small fruits from. while we were having a game night, a friendly possum came to visit us 😂😂 overall, a must visit if you are in tasmania. you even get a chance to meet other guests. fyi, the wifi is fast & furious. this place is also near to many beaches such as taylors beach. we had a really enjoyable stay. a perfect place for a getaway from the city bustle.
