As we were in the area we decided to explore this short trail. Different vegetation and the volume of water flowing out from the underground cave was impressive. You cannot walk into the cave but I found the rock formation and the cultural significance interesting.

Absolutely gorgeous walking track to the mouth of the caves that leads into the 30km tunnel system! One of the prettiest trails we’ve seen to date! Good condition dirt road in, just take it nice and easy!

Nice path by a clearwater creek, shaded by tree ferns and tall trees. Good information boards on ecology and geology. The cave itself is not accessible (unless you are adventurous and prepared).
