Goaty Hill was such a disappointment! After scoping out all the vineyards in the area, and deciding on visiting this one, we arrived at 11:30 on Saturday after travelling from Melbourne. The sign at the gate said "OPEN", however upon arriving at the Cellar Door we found it closed! No worries, one of the staff was inside arranging tables, after smiling at her and knocking, she continued to go about her arranging/computer work without so much as a wave of acknowledgement. Extremely rude behaviour from someone in the service industry and we will not be back! May I kindly recommend that you only place your "OPEN" sign at the gate, if you are ready to...

Stunning wines, food and location with friendly service, definitely a must visit if in the Tamar wine region. Had the tasting which the wines were of a very high standard, was thoroughly enjoyable with the Riesling, Pinot Gris & Pinot Noir been the standouts. Also, we had the gourmet platter which was very generous with quality ingredients.
