We went at dusk to see the glow worms. The drive in/out was a slow one due to the fact it's so very narrow. We came across one car coming towards us but thankfully had a small spot to pull over for safe passing. Not at all suitable for larger cars/campers etc.

Once at the car park we were all overwhelmed with an eerie feeling. Though not one of us commented on this at the time.

The tunnel itself was a simple site. It has duck boarding so a pram/ wheel chair could easily access this also.

The glow worms were sporadic but nice enough to spot.

We didn't stay long at all. An overwhelming eerie feeling of being watched by an unseen presence had us high tailing it out of there quick smart.

Not one of us mentioned this feeling to one another until we were in the car leaving.

It might be different during a sun shiney day 🤷‍♀️

An uncomfortable experience. Ticked it off our 'to do list' but certainly...

Interesting history and tunnel. The tunnel walk was easy, right beside the car park. It was raining when we went so had to duck through a small waterfall across the entrance. The path through the tunnel is well maintained and even. We saw some glow-worms as it was a cloudy day. Apparently they are much better at night. The track in was maybe 4 km of narrow (single vehicle) windy gravel track with a pullover every half a km or so. It is bitumen for the last couple hundred metres and there is a good sized bitumen car park and turn around area. A motorhome or camper is probably okay but a large caravan could be tight if you meet someone coming...

A cool piece of history that anyone can visit, only 4 klm from the Main Street of Zeehan. An old mine site with a 100 metre tram tunnel with boardwalk that visitors can walk through. The real bonus is the tunnel is now inhabited by glow worms. Obviously the best time to visit is on dusk or after dusk but caution is required on the narrow dirt winding road leading up to the carpark. The tunnel is literally 20 metres from the carpark. Night time recommend carry a torch or head lamp. Not necessary through the day but difficult to see glow worms, though possible right in the middle of the tunnel. This area now also has a MTB...
