I just wanted to make a note about the Karangarutha Track. This is a relatively tough track, a fair bit of up and down and there are moments where you get some great views. Plus like all bush walks there is a feeling of achievement when you finish it. What’s missing though is the “odd” marker that tells you where you are on the track and how far to the next major point of interest. I am not asking for something every 500 metres or so, but something every one or two kilometres would help you to better decide whether to keep going or whether it’s time to turn around and head back...
Read moreGreat walk and pretty well maintained. It's 9km one way and I would walk it from Tathra to end on a high at the amazing Wallangota Beach/Lake. We walked return as you would need transport to pick you up in 5 h complete. It's ha a lot of smalller hills with steps in and out of the various bays. The last bit is pretty even and easy. Track was recently upgraded. There are not a lot of longer walks in the region. It's Signe posted but has a few corners where you have to think a bit for example midway crossing the 4wd track coming from Tathra you have to go on the track a bit...
