One of the fantastic beach. You need to listen the instructions of the lifeguard. Very good for surfing. Super family friendly. Shower and toilet facilities are fantastic. There is a small playground for kids. You can spend time there after swimming. Love that place.

Tathra beach is a big arcing horseshoe of golden sand. At the more protected southern end, there are dramatic rocks and water so clear you can see fish in each wave. It’s a little cooler than I’d like but I swam anyway—it was too beautiful not to.

Nice quiet beach. Dogs aren't allowed on part of the beach because of nesting short birds so best not to let them roam. A little park right beside it with clean toilets. There's plenty of parking by the beach and in the park.

We went to the northern end of the beach as we heard that it was dog off leash. Parked at Lions Park and walked though. We nearly had the beach to ourselves. Clean sands, rolling waves that were a little to scary to venture out into. We walked up to where the Bega River joined the Sea. This was my family beach growing up, so it has become the standard upon which I have compared every other beach that I have visited. Few have ever managed to top the Tathra experience. It really is a lovely long beach, with great surf and good...
