A Family trip to Temora ambulance museum was to say the least one of the best experiences our family have had the pleasure of doing and having Bill give us a guided tour and sharing his endless knowledge on Ambulances and the service was outstanding .All of the people involved in the function of this museum and surrounds should take a bow job well done . The Temora Rural Museum is a snapshot of the best out of yesteryear. It covers nearly all facets of life from an earlier time - exhibits range from antique household goods, fine china and clothing through to 'hit-and-miss' stationary engines, tractors, farm implements, fire engines, and ambulances. There are also various workshops such as a blacksmith, a machine shop and a shearing shed. Large exhibits include Bradman's cottage, flour mill machinery, and a print shop. As a newly arrived resident in Temora, I wanted to explore my new world. A beautiful day yesterday, so decided to go for a walk and ended up at this stunning site. Never have I seen such a stunning exhibition of early country life. Extensive indoor and outdoor exhibits in appealing grounds, all well-labelled with explanations. There is even a little old church and an extensive rock, mineral, fossil and shell exhibition. The attention to detail is most commendable. Expect to spend a chunk of time here and enjoy.
