Lake Centenary, Temora, NSW — Attraction in Temora

It's a nice little stop, in my opinion it needs more landscaping work, in the form of gardens, and with the amount of Temora Shire Council employees that were at the place yesterday(at least 5 of them), whom were doing a great deal of NOTHING, even with what appeared to be their Supervisors, joined in this gathering of the lazy... But yes, the location of the speed boats that race around lake circuits, it's catered for that, I didn't see anything of the sort whilst there, but perhaps designated caravan/camper powered zones would also be useful, however it does have covered seating areas with BBQ facilities, the toilet block is pretty good too however I'd bet it would be EXTREMELY BUSY during competition events, & the camera pointed at the doors of the block is a bit worrying, and yes I understand the many factors of said camera, and the others on the site, but the placement of that particular one, could have been set up differently. But again, more gardens and shrubbery would give the location a nicer appearance, and the 'bored' council employees would have alot more to do, creating, planting, and the upkeep of, worthy of the wages paid to them. Obviously the cameras were switched off whilst they all were enjoying their 'down' time, which included a cooked lunch(by an employee's partner) and the rest of the two or so hours they were observed having quite the conversations, all at the expense of rate payers... 🤔 A work in...

Great area for a family picnic. Play ground for children, Bar B Que facilities, fitness outdoor gym area under cover. 2.7 km Walking track around the lake. Dogs on leash except for a sign posted area. Power boat water sports and a swimming area. Fishing allowed lake stocked with native fish. Parts of the area is under security camera surveillance. Good for family outdoor activities. Coffee van on-site Wednesday and Sunday. Update: 1 April 2023 nearby Temora Aviation Museum held a free air display over Lake Centenery. Didn't really explore very much just went there for the relocated air show. Place seemed OK, I believe there was toilets but I only used the temporary portaloos on the day. Overflow parking was opened up although I did notice that every non 4WD coming out of the parking all bottomed out on the left turn due to the high angle but they were directing all vehicles to turn that way anyway so you didn't really get a choice.

Place seemed OK for a visit, would probably make for a nice BBQ location on a sunny day, plenty of space when it's not busy...
