Wooroi Day Use Area — Attraction in Tewantin

Update. Extra star. A while back I said this place was only for kids and noobs but there’s been some improvements and overall, it’s pretty decent now for a small park. I still think it could be more challenging in places - pretty much every DH track has been turned into flow. And what used to be decent uphills have been over-groomed. Better signage would still be nice and some water at the top should be a priority. But Snake is more fun now - if a little dumbed down, Trailblazer is fast and flowy, Milkmaid is a great addition with jumps at the start, and you can find tracks to link them all that will keep you awake as you get back to where you want to go. Great for young riders. Easy access to the top if you need a lift from mum, and there are a couple of easy uphill options if you’re peddling. Perhaps a bit too easy for experienced riders. Whoever’s doing the work, appreciate it but please leave the gnarl, stop tidying it up so much and just put some new tracks in if you want to make it...

An incredible group of mountain bike trails tucked away in the hills next to the Noosa hill climb track. Well maintained and often updated, you'll have a ball here. Trails range from beginner to experienced riders, providing cross country, jumps and downhill sections. Requires a really good mate if you wish to be shuttled up to the top of some trails, but otherwise an enjoyable uphill ride/climb. There's no rubbish bins or toilets on site so go before you arrive and take all of what you bring with you at the end of the day.

I've ridden tracks in a lot of countries and had as much fun here as I have in a long time. The trails have something for most levels, with some well made features and sections. Managed to tag along to a couple of local legends, Tony and Quinn at a trail head, who very kindly showed me the way round their favourite trails.
