We had a personal tour of the museum by Robyn who was a font of knowledge. The museum is normally open on Saturdays but you can contact them and if they can they will open by appointment. There is heaps of memorabilia and lots of local stories to hear. If you don’t know much about Tobacco or the history of Texas then all your questions will be answered here. If museums are your thing then I would highly recommend this one

We explored the Heritage and Tobacco Centre in Texas on Saturday morning, and was greeted by the lovely volunteer ladies and informed us what there is to see. So many rooms to browse through and reading about the life of Texas. Love looking at all the displays, such an amazing collection. Well worth the visit.

A great heritage museum. Very interesting about the tobacco growing in Texas. Lots of quaint household items on display and a comprehensive house with old style furniture. We had two very nice volunteer guides. Only cost $5 a person to look around so well worth it.

Thank you Robyn for your time you spent with us on Monday 18/8, even though it was a day it wasn’t opened Robyn had come in her time to share her knowledge. You have so much knowledge on the history of Texas. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute we were there. Highly recommended visit for anyone who wants to learn some history of Australia. There is so much to see at this museum and for $10 a visit is well worth...
