Fun and scenic drive through the forest and through the george. We've gone through there with a stock Honda CRV 2002. Would recommend a better vehicle because we almost got stuck in one of the many creeks you have to cross, but in the end, we even bought some honey from a local farmer. Would 100% recommend this drive.

Beautiful place for a day trip drive or a weekend camp (where allowed). Just be sure to check a local Facebook page to check if the road is open as there are occasional road damages/ obstructions. Also make sure you download an offline map as mobile coverage can be very limited or non existent.

A beautiful drive, especially after rain. Not too much rain to cause the river to rise too far, but as a 4x4 driver, we live the water crossings and the meandering track through the gorge. It's a stunning place, and hope to return to camp along the river in the not to distant future..

A few months ago I was lucky enough to do the 14river track crossing with a friend in their 4wd. Highly recommended - we went in a Mitsubishi Triton, which hacked the pace. SUVs suitable but definitely better in a 4wd. We took lunch as a day trip out there. Had the best day out @ lots of places to stop and admire the river tracks! About 2hrs...
