The Rock is about 40 mins drive south west of Wagga Wagga. There's reasonably good access from the road into the car park, via a well graded but unsealed track. The car park can accommodate about 50 cars. There's a covered BBQ pavilion and accessible bathrooms with running water (not your typical drop toilet and no water). The place is very well maintained and clean. The tracks are well sign posted and there's so much to see from bottom all the way to the top. Note: The walk is long and probably towards the top it's not really for the faint hearted. But we'll worth the hike up along the gravel and rocky paths. Allow about 50 mins up and about...

Fantastic hike up the mountain. Read a comment suggesting to start with Yerong track as it is mostly an easy walk to warm up before it begins to climb. Good signage as everyone has said all the way. Had great views of surrounding areas and good visibility on this summer afternoon. Wasn’t too hot as most of the way up was in tree coverage or behind the shadow of the mountain. After starting along Yugay track from the intersection you climb up again to the ridge and get more views. Only a short section required to scramble down steep rocks on the way back on Yugay track. Took under 3 hours including break time and mostly walking at...

Good track for the most part. As others have mentioned there are a couple of places where the track isn't as easy to see which way to go. The last ascent where you need to turn right has a yellow arrow but it is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. It would benefit having a proper sign there. That is due to the track appearing to continue past it. Lot's of loose gravel particularly on the first 2km or so. Make sure you have decent footwear. Views are great and the facilities at the carpark are good with toilets and...

A local Jane told us about this hiking spot, that's it's the must do thing to do at The Rock town. The hike was really beautiful - views amazing. Just very rocky terrain. Wear good walking shoes and best to bring a walking stick to help with balance. There are two trials up. The ridge trail is very rocky and difficult if you are not used to that kind of hike. But we found it easy to do, just need to take your time And watch your footing. Home took us around 3 hours
