Located just five kilometres from Ceduna, Pinky Point Lookout is a must-visit spot offering stunning views of the wharf, nearby islands, and the bay. It’s particularly breathtaking during sunset, when the colors of the sky transform the scenery into a serene spectacle. The ELENI K interpretive shelter adds an interesting historical element, sharing the story of the ill-fated shipwreck that occurred off the Thevenard coast in 1966. The lookout is well-designed with a viewing platform that’s accessible for disabled visitors, and the parking facilities are convenient. The drive there is smooth, or for those who enjoy walking, there’s a trail along the foreshore that leads to the lookout. Whether you’re a local or a traveler passing through, Pinky Point Lookout is definitely worth a stop.

Pinky Point Lookout in Ceduna is a must-visit for anyone looking to take in breathtaking coastal views. Located at the end of the Encounter Walking Trail in Thevenard, this lookout offers stunning panoramic vistas of the ocean, Thevenard Wharf, Denial Bay, and the surrounding islands. One of the best times to visit is at sunset, when the sky transforms into a blend of vibrant colors, making it a perfect spot for photography and relaxation. The area is peaceful and well-maintained, with a dedicated viewing platform that includes interpretive signage and even a telescope to enhance the experience.

History displays at Pinky Point are very interesting. I enjoyed the lookout with telescope for looking at the local seabirds. Note that the telescope mounting does not suit people shorter than 160cm for looking at the close islets. I suggest bring your own binoculars. The Encounter Coastal trail is an easy ( i.e. flat) walk but it is exposed so it can be hot or cold or windy.
