The big attraction for us was access to the trails around the propety. Beyond the few main boardwalks, there aren't many accessible walking trails in the region, so it was great to walk the trails around Noah's Creek. The Mill Trail especially has some incredible old trees, with twisting roots and hanging vines. The swimming hole is also a bonus when the beaches are croc territory. While we were staying, other guests saw cassowaries on the property, but we kept missing them! (We did have success at the Madja boardwalk up the road.)
Another excellent part of the property is the communal kitchen. Everything is so well organised, with separate bug-proof containers for each group's food. The kitchen is also well equipped with dishes, cutlery, knives, etc. There's just one stove and one BBQ so there can be a bit of a wait at dinner time, but just cook early or late if that's a concern.
We stayed in an eco hut: very comfy and great...

We booked last minute, expecting a decent glamping hut in a lovely location. But what we drove into was an incredibly outstanding location; a (what felt like) luxury glamping cabin, and very VERY private and tranquil settings around the entire site.
Communal kitchen was fully stocked, bonus points for it being super cute as well. Everything was clean and tidy. Staff were lovely and helpful.
I can't spoil too much, as the literal magic is revealed upon arrival (trust me!) but with limited spaces, there is no doubt the owners and staff care for keeping their sanctuary protected and well loved.
My highest recommendation goes to Noah Creek Eco-Retreat. What a stunning place to be fully immersed in one of the worlds most beautiful rainforests. Staying here felt like...
Read moreThanks to COVID and the lack of international travel we were lucky enough to stumble across this absolute gem. We stayed here for a long weekend in February and felt like we could have been anywhere in the world. We were in one of the newly appointed 'eco-huts'. They are described as 'glamping' which I feel is under selling them. I would quite happily live in one. The open air bathroom was a delight in the tropical climate, and the under cover kitchen was fully equiped, even with a weber BBQ! The grounds have a plethora of rainforest walks and treks to keep you busy, along with a swimming hole right next to our hut. The friendly owners are around in the eveing to sit and have a drink and a yarn, and they even took us out in their boat for a spot of fishing. Highly recommended if you want the feeling of escape...
