I have been visiting from the U.S. and was very warmly welcomed at Green Valley Farm. I sort of wandered out here randomly, lured by my curiosity of riding a home-made rollercoaster and waterslides out in the country. The owner Beryl greeted me and offered me a delicious cappuccino, engaging in pleasant conversation to immediately make me feel at home here. I had so much fun riding the water slide and walking around visiting with all of their wonderful animals ranging from kangaroos and horses to ostriches and cockatoos and peacocks. They really do make you feel like family from the moment you arrive. The staff were all super friendly and even when I accidentally wandered in an out-of-bounds area they didn’t seem to get annoyed with me lol. In the evening, they delivered dinner and firewood to my cabin and I had a truly spiritual experience out here, relaxing by my campfire under the light of the moon and stars. The cabin was very cozy and quiet, and it was so peaceful falling asleep to the sound of crickets. What a magical place, I can’t remember when I last had an experience like this one! It was so healing for me just to be out here even for a day. My only regret is not staying longer than I did. I would definitely stop here again if I find myself in Australia again some day. Thanks so much for your hospitality, I appreciate you guys a lot and I see how much love and dedication you have put...
Read moreWe stayed at Green Valley Farm over the long weekend and had a fantastic time from start to finish. Right from our first communication, Kathy went out of her way to accommodate our large family and make sure everything was perfect for us.
The farm itself is absolutely beautiful, and with five kids, we were never short of things to do. The holiday cabin was small but felt surprisingly spacious and comfortable, with a kitchen that had just what we needed without feeling cluttered.
All the staff were lovely and so friendly — it really made the stay extra special. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to provide a little map or guide around the property. On our first day, we weren’t quite sure where everything was, and we didn’t realise we could walk through the “private area” to see the animals until we saw others doing it.
The prices throughout the farm were fantastic, too. Even the coffee was reasonably priced — standard prices, not inflated like you sometimes find at holiday spots.
We would absolutely love to return one day and do it...
Read moreThis place is out of this world and well worth a visit for any family on a holiday or passing by. We were the first to arrive on the day we went and the place has an eerie feeling… no front reception desk demanding money as you enter which is quite refreshing, you get to see what you’re in for before parting with your cash. The place is a huge playground full of old school rides and thrills that the older “kids” will remember from their childhood. There is a huge area with animals that you can feed… the most beautiful gentle kangaroos, an ostrich, Guinea pigs and even a deer! There’s mini golf, a jumping cushion and you can buy some surprisingly delicious lunch from the kiosk. And don’t forget to visit the museum before you leave. A broad range of a bit of everything… Summer brings a water park which it was too cold for when we went. Camping and cabins also available. Don’t...
