Honesty insists that I say upfront that a lot of the goodies in Chrystie’s has relevance to me. I admit to being “a certain age”: not ready to retire for a few years yet, but enough years under my belt for this to be a real trip down memory lane. Before I start on any of the smaller collections in the place, I have to say I have never seen such an array of beautiful cars as nature intended. After the tedium of seeing beautiful old cars butchered in an attempt to hot them up, Chrystie’s was a breath of fresh air. I’ll admit to getting a bit misty-eyed seeing the beautiful old Ford Zephyr. As a little one I was perched in the back of one of those (no seat belt or booster seat of course) until Mum got a bit up-close-and-personal with a milk cart horse. RIP horse, RIP Zephyr. For those more into trucks there are some real beauties there also. But as you wander around inside in glass cases there are mini collections relating to many aspects of life here in Australia dating from reasonably recent to well before my time. There are even a couple of old retro caravans all fitted out and ready for a trip. Ok, so it would be a less-than-comfortable trip given the vintage, but ready all the same. I only had one criticism. Some of the areas of the big sheds are not very well lit, and it can be difficult to give these treasures the attention they deserve. Entry is cash only: no eftpos. But it is not expensive and you probably have that many coins in your centre console.

What an awesome collection! Sooooo much to see, lots of variety, definitely something for everyone here! Admission fee is cheap, especially for how much is there. Owner was away so had someone else give us an intro and then left us to explore at our leisure. We were there for 90 minutes or more and I'm sure we missed some stuff with so much to look at. Thank you for sharing your amazing collection.

This place is chock full of historical ‘stuff’ in mostly original condition. Several trucks fully restored. The cars are mostly Ford including various Zephyrs. Need better information about the vehicles Several very interesting old caravans. Low cost entry. Cash only.

The cost is very cheap, and this is one of the few cash only places (YAY!).Great place to see lots of history. the owners are fabulous and lovely to chat with. Excellent collection, from cars to royal memorabilia and times past. It's a great way to see some history and those who are older can appreciate memories, while those who are younger my get some insight into how people lived...
