This review has been a long time coming. My finance and I are in the process of planning our wedding and I honestly am so glad I have chosen Trentham and their team even well before our wedding has occurred. Belinda and the staff at Trentham Estate is an absolute pleasure and they have come up with an amazing package for us. We visited in April and found they have have a bit of a facelift in the form of a paint job and it looks amazing. We attended a menu and wine tasting there and could not be more impressed. Our guests are going to be blown away with the wine selections, especially the Merlot which feels like melted chocolate (and high praise from me who hates reds!!!). They also do a spectacular Pinot Gris and Frizzante Maestri which is waaaayyyyy too easy to drink! If you haven't been, I highly recommend you go. If you're planning a wedding, I cannot sing their praises enough with all the spectacular help they can provide. Belinda is an actual angel sent from the heavens to aid my most magical day!

A hop across the river from Mildura on the banks of the mighty Murray, the winery is in the perfect location on a sweeping bend that frankly lulls you into a real sense of holiday mode. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the tastings are generous and best of all the wines are affordable a good mix of French and Italian varieties as well as some non estate grown and fortified adds to the experience. When the restaurant is closed they still have very generous platters on offer and for $45.00 the platter makes for a very satisfying lunch. Belinda our cellar door expert was so nice with a beautiful smile and amazing personality. Sitting by the river had us the most relaxed we e been on this short break. The wines are approachable without being pretentious and starting at $18 a bottle very good value. The wine club too is exceptional value and special offers more than reasonable. Looking forward to coming back when the restaurant is open.

A very disappointing meal. It started off well with a lovely balcony table overlooking the Murray River. Service was slow and, while we didn’t complain as we were enjoying the view and the beautiful day, the waiter apologised and said there was only one cook on duty. When our meals did arrive, mine(reef and turf) was very enjoyable despite being on the well done side when I had ordered medium. However, my wife’s meal(Parmesan coated chicken) was presented looking overcooked and was so dry, my wife could only manage 1 piece out of 3. I had a taste and it was certainly way overcooked and unpalatable. We brought it to the waiter’s attention and all he said was that he would bring it to the cook’s attention. We were still charged the full price($46) for her meal. Under the circumstances, I feel we should have at least been offered a partial refund of what was an expensive meal. We will not return. We have had better service and meals everywhere else in Mildura so far.

One of the best locations for a winery! We have visited Trentham Estate on five occasions - 2013, 2017, 2020, 2022 and 2024. The wines are very good quality and their Cellar Reserve Fine Old Tawny is incredible! As I can't buy it in bottle shops, it's either buy it online or visit the winery. I choose to visit ;-) In 2020, the winery offered a comprehensive wine tasting (similar to a tutored tasting) where we paid and sat at a table. That experience was excellent. Since then, it was sit at the bar and taste. Also OK but I prefer the former as opposed to the latter. The food is very good. The restaurant is not open every day so you may want to check first before visiting. If you happen to be on a house boat, just pull up and enjoy this great winery. On our most recent visit we were looked after extremely well by Karl and Belinda. Always worth a visit! :-) Here are some photos...

Even though we didn’t have a booking and had to wait over 30 minutes for our lunch, Ethan kept us informed throughout, updating us on wait times, which we really appreciated. We understand that hospitality can be challenging, especially with functions and events happening at the restaurant. Despite the wait, we received great service and enjoyed a delicious meal made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Over at the cellar door, Leanne provided an excellent wine tasting experience, explaining the wines in detail and making our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we’ll definitely be back!

Dropped onto this lovely little venue while enjoying a cruise down the Murray in a house boat. The team were amazing, ver accommodating, friendly and helpful. Standout meals were the Pork Belly, Lamb Shanks, steak, Pate, Linguine and Squid all amazing. It was the Barra that was very disappointing, we where expecting a nice crispy skin and a firm but moist flesh, we got soggy skin that slid off the fish and the flesh was so wet and moist it was not palatable. However would recommend, one bad meal agains several good meal is good odds. Just don’t order the Barra, the table next to us even said the same. Enjoyxxxx
