Definitely a nice spot to visit at daytime...not so much when you are camping there and youngsters try to impress each other driving their noisy 4WD on a Fri or Sat night there. More worryingly, people struggle to get out of the whirlpool produced under the right waterfall and get absorbed into it by swimming too close to it. No warning signs, no life jackets or lifebouys nearby to help struggling swimmers, no Wifi or possibility to call emergency services.    Read moreThe river itself is lovely and crystal clear waters. The campsites are trashed and mostly dirt, overly packed during public holidays, and people fly down the dirt roads, making it extremely dangerous for kids. We had so much broken glass on our site. Even after attempting to pick it all up, there were shards scattered everywhere.
It was quite disturbing at 2am with cars beeping and speeding down the road screaming racial slurs. The police presence was heavy over the 2 days there, police went by at least every hour.

The police were there 3 times in the 4 days we were there to either kick people out or arrest people. The parties were going on until 2-3 in the morning and all the p platers were thought they were rally drivers. The rangers did a good job but there is only so much they could do. One idiot lit an lpg cylinder and another one was threating people at different camp sites. The site and area was good for camping, but not for people who want to enjoy...
