We were really looking forward to visiting today. We were there for less than 5 minutes. No hello or anyone to greet us. A word of advice if you’re going to advertise the winery as family friendly you may want to remember that this includes 5 year olds. If you don’t want your dogs to eat the macadamias that you provide to your guests to ’crack’ then either a) don’t provide them or b) secure the dogs away from the winery area. A 5 year old who is trying to crack a nut for the 1st time which rolls onto the ground can hardly be blamed for the action of your dog wolfing it down. We were made to feel very unwelcome and left 2 minutes after arriving. What a shame- had a real drive for spending $$ on some unique wines today. Not including the half hour drive to get to the estate. In addition to thinking of your future guests you may like to consider putting some stepping stones in your backyard winery so the guests don’t return with buckets of mud on them in...

The road there is quite bad and has lots of potholes and so any low or sports cars may struggle. If it is cold you should rug up as the tasting is outside because of COVID. We were greeted by the most handsome Labradors Jack and Muscat. Wine is a mix of local southern highlands wines and samples from around Australia but branded as Yarrawa Estate and tasting is $10 pp. We also had a large cheese board for snacking between 4 for $20. It was a lovely outside tasting under the trees. It would have been better if they had a fire pit but otherwise this was...
Read moreA lovely low key cellar door run from the family home. It’s fantastic to be able to experience this part of Kangaroo Valley. Beautiful scenery and so relaxing. Wine tasting was $5 per head which included trying all their wines (we stopped at 7 as I was driving). Cheese board was also $5 per person and was the perfect snack. Great value for money. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy though the owners made us feel very welcome and made sure we always had wine to try. We got lost a couple times (thanks google maps) though follow the signs and you’ll find it. Definitely worth the short trip out of town and the perfect way to spend a...
