We were really looking forward to visiting today. We were there for less than 5 minutes. No hello or anyone to greet us. A word of advice if you’re going to advertise the winery as family friendly you may want to remember that this includes 5 year olds. If you don’t want your dogs to eat the macadamias that you provide to your guests to ’crack’ then either a) don’t provide them or b) secure the dogs away from the winery area. A 5 year old who is trying to crack a nut for the 1st time which rolls onto the ground can hardly be blamed for the action of your dog wolfing it down. We were made to feel very unwelcome and left 2 minutes after arriving. What a shame- had a real drive for spending $$ on some unique wines today. Not including the half hour drive to get to the estate. In addition to thinking of your future guests you may like to consider putting some stepping stones in your backyard winery so the guests don’t return with buckets of mud on them in...

Booked for 4 for a tasting at 2pm on a Saturday on a cold winter day. Hosts were beautiful and sweet people. The road there is quite bad and has lots of potholes and so any low or sports cars may struggle. If it is cold you should rug up as the tasting is outside because of COVID. We were greeted by the most handsome Labradors Jack and Muscat. Wine is a mix of local southern highlands wines and samples from around Australia but branded as Yarrawa Estate and tasting is $10 pp. We also had a large cheese board for snacking between 4 for $20. It was a lovely outside tasting under the trees. It would have been better if they had a fire pit but otherwise this was...

A lovely low key cellar door run from the family home. It’s fantastic to be able to experience this part of Kangaroo Valley. Beautiful scenery and so relaxing. Wine tasting was $5 per head which included trying all their wines (we stopped at 7 as I was driving). Cheese board was also $5 per person and was the perfect snack. Great value for money. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy though the owners made us feel very welcome and made sure we always had wine to try. We got lost a couple times (thanks google maps) though follow the signs and you’ll find it. Definitely worth the short trip out of town and the perfect way to spend a...

Jasmin Grace, say no more! Well I will. Towards the top of Upper River Road Yarrawa Estate is nestled into the range on the side of the Upper River Valley. Well worth the trip up, inside/outside wine tasting with genial and caring hosts. It's a bit of an adventure to get there given the distance from the village but a gem for Kangaroo Valley that makes the journey worthwhile. An added attraction, recommended for on the way back is the pedestrian suspension bridge that crosses the Upper Kangaroo River. It is located just opposite the Upper River. Between the winery and this bridge, so many great shots to keep your camera busy.

I visited with my girlfriend on Sunday afternoon and we were pleasantly surprised to be the only ones there at the time. Mark was very welcoming and made us feel at home. We tried a wide selection of wines (the sparkling Shiraz was my personal favourite), accompanied by a cheese board. He even gave us some avocados and grapefruits to take home. The view overlooking Upper Kangaroo Valley was amazing and there were plenty of nice spots outside to sit and take photos. Was great supporting a family run winery that takes pride in their vineyard and the wine they sell. Would definitely recommend visiting.
