Wooldridge Recreation and Fossicking Area — Attraction in Uralla

Nice place for camping or a bit of a swim. Just be careful of the native wildlife, saw dozens of skinks, a water dragon and a red bellied black snake while we were there (about 45 minute visit).

In regards to it's capacity for fossicking, you'll struggle to find much as most of the "gold" here is pyrite, it's also what you see sparkling in the water. There may be some traces of gold as there is quartz found here. Looks like most decent looking jelly beans are already gone also if...

Free camp-site. Doesn't offer water to plug into van or power but has a toilet block. Great if you were off grid camping! It is a dirt road in and out.

Lovely shady place to stay beside a river that did have water in it. Tried panning for Gold, but too hard to find among the prevelant mica making the water like a snow globe.
