Candice the unofficial ambassador of awe on Kangaroo Island – Unmissable Little Sahara Dune Buggy Adventure!

Kangaroo Island is amazingly diverse.

We had the absolute thrill of exploring Little Sahara with Candice as our guide, and it was nothing short of mind-blowing. A dune buggy tour might sound like just an adrenaline rush (which it definitely was!), but Candice turned it into a full-spectrum adventure—equal parts wild, wondrous, and deeply soulful.

We tore across towering sand dunes that seemed to rise out of nowhere—surreal landscapes you’d expect to find in the Sahara Desert, not off the coast of South Australia. But that was just the beginning. Candice took us through hidden trails to serene, remote beaches, places we would’ve never found on our own. They felt untouched—just waves, wind, and wonder.

And the wildlife? Countless koalas, lounging in eucalyptus trees like they owned the place (which, honestly, they do). Candice spotted them effortlessly and shared so much about their habits and the ecosystem that supports them. We learned about the recent fires and their devastating effect. We also got to see a wild Ligurian Bee hive up close and personal (but not too close!)

She’s not just a guide—she’s a storyteller, an adventurer, and a protector of the land. Originally from France, and doing a really bad job of disguising her accent, Candice brings a global curiosity and local passion that’s infectious. She made us laugh, kept us safe, and gave us one of the most unforgettable experiences of our entire trip. Thank you - Candice!

If you’re on Kangaroo Island and don’t book this tour with Candice, you’re missing out on something truly special. Go. Buckle up. And get ready to see the island through the eyes of someone who absolutely loves...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Dune Adventure!

Our sand dune bike tour at Little Sahara Adventure Centre was awesome! Temika, our guide, made the experience truly amazing from start to finish.

Riding through the sand dunes was really fun - the perfect blend of adventure and natural beauty. The scenery surrounding Little Sahara is breathtaking, with stunning views that make you feel like you've been transported to another world.

What really elevated the experience was Temika's extensive knowledge and attentiveness. She shared fascinating information about the dunes and the surrounding ecosystem while ensuring everyone in our group felt comfortable and supported regardless of their experience level. Her consideration for all guests made everyone feel included and able to enjoy the adventure at their own pace.

If you're visiting Kangaroo Island, the sand dune bike tour at Little Sahara Adventure Centre is an absolute must-do activity. It offers a unique perspective of one of the island's natural wonders and creates memories that will last a lifetime.

Highly recommend booking this tour for an unforgettable Kangaroo...

Very fun place that shouldn't be missed! I was there a couple of weeks ago with my family (a few of which are getting a little bit older...) we all had an amazing time, this place is great for everyone of any age who can go up a sand dune. The board hiring place is very nice as well, the staff are great also. We were there during a very quite day so we got to speak with the guy, Flynn I think it was. He was very professional but super outgoing and very informative. He told us a little about the area and the dunes, which was surprisingly interesting. He also helped us de-sand ourselves at the end in a very creative way, thanks Flynn 👍. I feel like in the warmer season the sand is maybe a bit drier so it might make your slide down a bit easier and faster (only a guess) but it was still very fun. There was a little smaller dune near some bushes at the base of the taller dune that my mum was able to get a bit of air coming down as it was like a little real, that was so much fun! Also in the cooler off season it's nice and cold which makes it much easier to keep climbing up. We were all exhausted after,...

Adam was very knowledgeable and showed us how to spot the local wildlife. The buggy ride over the dunes was very exciting and was an eye opening experience. You can’t really appreciate the vastness of the sand dunes after you took a ride through it, highly recommended :)
