I booked a classification tasting for 4 people in addition to the table wine tasting. It was INCREDIBLE value and we spent 2.5 very happy hours tasting wines and chatting to the friendly and excellent staff. Winemaker Jen Pfeiffer is an absolute delight and truly is the soul of the place. She is passionate about her craft and takes great pleasure and pride in sharing it with visitors. Jen led us through the classification tasting where we tasted topaques and muscats that were 5, 10, 18 and 28 years old. It’s a masterclass and you see the difference in the colour and flavour as they age. We had rows of glasses in front of us as we did comparisons between the different topaques and muscats trying to decide which liquid gold to buy. Honestly it’s truly sensational. During our time at Pfeiffer we were additionally helped by Amir, Geoff and Kylie and all are great advocates of their brand.
We purchased 16 bottles - a range of table wines, port, muscat & topaque including a grand (18 year old) topaque.
This was our second experience of the classification tasting having done one twelve months earlier and just had to repeat it.
Book it, allow plenty of time to relax & enjoy it.
Pfeiffer wines also have a beautiful garden and a bridge over the creek with resident tortoises. The views are really special and you can buy a bottle to take down to the bridge to enjoy sitting and looking...
Read moreI don’t normally post a review but this was so poor, for a couple that had only had one winery visit before attending and hoped to sample a few before purchase and continue on travels… Please don’t welcome saying you stop tastings at 5pm at 4:15pm and then take a seating, if you don’t have the capacity to do so. You provided one glass and left us alone for 20mins.any experience and wine isn’t worth it as you didn’t want us there. We couldn’t do much tasting as you said you finished at 5 on the dot tasting. We were offered one wine in the 30 mins we sat there to taste. So we just up left, no sign anyone was interested in talking about your wines with us and we could spend our time better continue off. So we left. 40 mins is perfectly acceptable time frame for a tasting, even granted shorter one. However you have no obligations for walk ins if you are unable to take them. Just say you’ve reached capacity unfortunately and close for walk ins. You’ve left a sour bitter taste from your service, no desire for any more taste or experience. Better support other smaller wineries near by that would love your support and happily chat about their wines and community over being ghosted...
Read moreMOST DISAPPOINTING WINERY EXPERIENCE. I have been visiting wineries for 22 years and have never had an experience like we did on the weekend when we went to Pfeiffers winery on Saturday. We travelled 2 hours with family and friends to Pfeiffers winery, and were served by ROBYN PFEIFFER herself. To be honest it was the worst winery tasting that my family has ever been included in!! We have been to Pfeiffers winery a lot for many years and enjoyed it, but today we were served by ROBYN PFEIFFER and she was the rudest , most degrading person wver known in wine tasting ,that any of is have have ever experienced before. She insulted, she was rude, she had the poorest customer service approach ever. We had to say 'Please may I try some' before every sample tasting or she wouldn't serve. She was openly very confrontational and belittling to our personal feelings and made us all feel very uncomfortable. It was a very upsetting and disturbing experience and we couldn't wait to get out of there!! If you ever go to Pfeiffers winery and see Robyn Pfeiffer about to serve ...run. Very very poor customer service skills, and also disappointing that it was ...
