Prepare to be transported to a dreamy realm when you set your eyes upon the mesmerizing Horse Head Rock. This enchanting rock formation, nestled near Bermagui along the Sapphire Coast, truly lives up to its name. Resembling the elegant neck of a majestic pony, it exudes a sense of grace and mystique. What makes it even more remarkable is its historical significance—boasting an age of over 500 million years, it stands as one of New South Wales' most ancient geological wonders.

To fully appreciate the beauty of Horse Head Rock, I recommend visiting the lookout platform, which can be accessed via a scenic 1.5-kilometer elevated walking track between Camel Rock and Murunna Point. While the journey itself is an immersive experience, please keep in mind that if you choose to approach the rock from Camel Rock Surf Beach, access is only possible during low tide and calm seas. Additionally, it is essential to wear appropriate footwear like hiking boots, as the rocks can be quite slippery.

Be prepared to be captivated by the ethereal ambiance and surreal beauty that Horse Head Rock offers. It's a destination that will transport you to a realm where dreams and reality intertwine, leaving you with memories that will linger in your heart long...

Horse Head Rock is a truly beautiful and iconic destination along the Sapphire Coast. The beach near Horse Head Rock is stunning, with soft yellow sand and very clean surroundings, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful walk or a relaxing break.

Access to the area is quite easy. There is a parking lot nearby, and finding a spot is usually not a problem, even during busier times. From the parking area, it’s just a short walk to the beach. There are also rubbish bins available, which helps to keep the area very clean. However, it’s good to know that there are no toilet facilities, so plan accordingly before your visit.

The path to actually see Horse Head Rock can be approached in two ways. You can either walk to the viewpoint above, which offers a fantastic panoramic view, or head along the beach at low tide to get up close. Both options are rewarding and offer great photo opportunities.

The natural beauty of the rock formations, combined with the golden sands and the deep blue ocean, creates a truly special atmosphere. Horse Head Rock is definitely worth a visit if you are traveling in the Bermagui area — a wonderful mix of raw nature and...

Yes I give Horsehead Rock 5 stars because it is a Photographers Paradise but I've come on here to do a review to share my experience so others are aware of how dangerous this location is.... It was third time lucky for me as I had purchased trekking boots from Anaconda and trekking pole from Kathmandu to do this trek along the waters edge.. The walk to Horsehead Rock is exhausting & challenging and can be dangerous as rocks are slippery and difficult to balance on trekking there is best at low tide.... I highly recommend not trekking alone also.... If considering to trek further north from Horsehead Rock do not do so unless you're with professional climbers as the cliffs are 100% unsafe and there's no warning signs at the end of Pebbly Beach stating this even though there's tracks that look like they are used often... Also when it comes to this location if you feel you can't do the walk follow your instincts.. There's always the coastal walk with viewing platforms as...
