This location is truly tops ! Well worth the effort after a 17km drive accessed from turning off the Lakes Way onto Sugar Creek Rd . The trail is mostly an unpaved dirt road that can be traversed with a decent vehicle. I drove my 2 wheel drive D-Max in dry conditions and the most challenging part was the final incline literally a couple of hundred metres from the final destination. The panoramic views of the ocean , beaches and bush land are nothing short of breathtaking. The lookout has a table and seats for a picnic . Please use the bins or take your rubbish back home with you . Thoroughly recommended for an outing but be mindful to take plenty of bottled water and be prepared to lose phone reception at some parts of the drive & plan your trip accordingly with...

Discovered this place by chance.Amazing views. To get to the lookout a car with Abit of clearence is needed as there is 1 large hump near the top of the trail. There is few opportunities to turn around if you're car is to low. Many of these reviews mention 4wd ,however an AWD with road tyres was capable (it was dry weather ) . If you don't own a AWD or 4x4 I wouldn't recommend going up the road to the lookout as you could damage your car. The entrance via Thomas road was good fun in a soft roader .The entrance from lake way leads to a well maintained unsealed road that would be fine for any car (in dry weather) .You can reach a short walk in the wallingat NP from this entrance and on the way there drive amongst towering gum trees...

Whoota Whoota lookout has one of the best view in NSW This is not only the best viewpoint in Wallingat National Park, but also one of the greatest in NSW. Drive right up to Whoota Whoota lookout and prepare to be amazed. Peer out one way and you can see the vast stretches of eucalypt forest that make up much of the park. Look in the other direction and you can see the expanse of Wallis Lake as well as the winding, rugged coastline.

If you’re lucky, you might also see the sea eagles that like to soar here. Don’t forget your camera, because this is one view you won’t want to miss. There’s also a picnic table here if you want to dine with the best natural view of the Barrington Coast as...

When visiting the Forster Tuncurry area this is a must visit point of interest attraction destination. A great alternative from all the usual water activities that the area is known for. The drive in can be quite a challenge for most 2wd cars due to the unsealed road but it is quite achievable by taking it easy. Google maps will try to navigate you through some locked national parks gates however you will quickly find the correct route up to the look out. Surrounding area will be a playground for 4wd enthusiasts seeking some firetrail adventures. Don't forget to pack some beers and snacks before you trek up there and always take your rubbish back away with you!

**Warning Do Not Follow Google Maps Directions** Driving on the >The Lakes Way < enter via > Sugar Creek Rd < this is a dirt road sign posted 60kph speed limit is a smooth dirt road, just watch for occasional potholes. Follow Sugar Creek Rd until you reach Whoota Whoota Lookout Rd follow until end of the road. Just be careful near the top road can get a little rough. 2WD can make it up there via this route, just be cautious. 4WD no dramas. Beautiful views, No walking, views can be seen from inside vehicle. No bathroom facilities just 1x picnic table. I hope this helps.
