We're now into the Spring time of the year of Perth, Western Australia. The Noongars, an indigenous tribe from the southern region of WA, believe it to be in the season for September by the name, Djilba, meaning "first spring" or the "season of conception". This transitional period marks the start of a mix of warmer weather, rain and winds, create the blooming of wildflowers and plants, and the emergence of newborn animals. Why not plan a trip for breakfast or lunch. Popular this time of year, suggest for new and old visitors explore the new stalls and old favourites. The Wanneroo Markets, has a good atmosphere for families and new comers to Perth. Expect to enjoy the variety of cuisines in the offering. Relax eating to the provided bench tables and seating, in the food areas, indoors and outdoors.

Indulge yourself to local fresh produce the variety of Artisan stalls.

Described as a rabbit Warren "located indoors", you'll find a lovely selection of a blend of interesting vendors. Receive a relaxing foot massage; perfume therapy; Crystals, Indian and Balinese clothing and singing bowls; Collectable toys, hobby stalls, and a hidden treasure that opened end of February, 2025 called "Boheme Revival", a mini emporium. You'll find hand selected ecelectic Vintage wares, a combo of hand picked curiousities. Stocked with Adults and children's Fancy Dress, and accessories. Quality items, pictures and frames, children's soft toys, books and games, homewares, Taylor-Made gift baskets dress jewellery for men and women. Belts, gift cards, Scarves, Authentic, Traditional Costumes, beautifully hand embroidered and vibrant colours. This place has its own ambience atmosphere, music, A Zen Den shelving a few incense sticks, in all, worldly things of beauty. Come, look & see other lovely gift ware and personalised old-fashioned and cheerful customer service....

The Wanneroo Markets have been a Perth icon for 40 years. Opening 1980, they have consistently offered exceptional quality and locally grown fresh produce.

They offer a selection of stalls (clothing, housewares, hats, shoes, metal art, flowers, plants, fruit & vegetables, to name a few), a food court and a bar area. The food stalls are authentic and very reasonably priced. I purchased some fresh warm cinnamon donuts, that were delicious 😋

Also at this location is Spud Shed, open 7 days a week and Pindy Asian Shop, with a huge range and open 6 days a week.

Sad to say there were many stalls shut or vacant. I'm unsure if this is due to covid. The market is in need of a refurbishment but also requires locals to support the small businesses. The overall space has so much potential and I would love to see the markets brought back to their former glory. The stalls that remain sell a variety of goods and fresh...

The Centre Management need to reduce rental cost as most shops are family small businesses just starting to get off the ground or Semi-retirees Who want a casual work week selling unique products & Just General Banter to keep them Selfs Sharp.

there are many empty stores throughout & the place is quite run-down, the car park is still shocking with potholes throughout & unevenly surfaced. Many of the long term tenants are still there newer places only seem to open for a few months before having to close down;

I have been going to this place since I was a child & it was a lot more lively back then Personally would like to see some more Events put on (Live Bands) (Swap meets) (Micro Carnivals) & Buskers put into play as it would Jazz up the atmosphere.

In conclusion, they still have lots of missed potential to make the place a lot more attractive to families & the...

Fresh, local produce in a relaxed market atmosphere. Get the best homegrown fruit, veges, meats, fish, breads and WA gourmet oils in one place. When it's all done, have a bite to eat and a beverage. Beer, coffee, juices and more, all available. Several stalls of popular foods keep a devoted market crowd going back again and again, making for a wonderful community of businesses. Favourites of the regulars include popcorn, pancakes, Vietnamese Noodle Soup or hands down one of the best Gozlemes in Perth. New additions keep the family fed with toasties and a range of food hall options as well. In an era where packaging, fast food and global companies threaten local produce, Wanneroo Markets offer a great alternative and keep West Australians growing.

The food stalls are great. However, it seems that the market is in desperate need of a total make over. Everything looks old and tired, numerous shops are vacant and closed (likely affected by the pandemic?) and some areas of the market looks abandoned and dirty. The overall space has so much potential to be amazing but in its current state, if no renovation is done to uplift the place, it might lose its charm in time to come. The stalls that have remained are charming and they all sell a variety of goods as shown in the pictures. It was really nice walking through the market despite the empty spaces. I really hope the council for this market help them out with some rejuvenation.
