I just want to reiterate that changing timber seats for aluminium seats is not a great idea. Someone who travels and uses parks all the time. The cold alumini and seats on your butt are absolutely horrored . They need to be replaced because then I'll be replaced with timber ones which would also be more aesthetic to the environment . There's a community group that look after this area I just want to say thanks. It's also nice the big oval for the kangaroos to have a safe place as well. Thanks to the fellow for bringing over the Pinewood for the campfire. No matter what anyone says This is encouraging bringing in people into an area even if they're not paying for accommodation in a caravan park that's only 5% of the money that they actually spend in the local community. I understand they're doing update sheds to stop the wind that's really nice but I still think you maintain that mountain cottage fill with a beautiful red gum seat rather than replace them. Timber has a nice feel whereas I've seen tables replaced in other parts with aluminium or plastic benches and they're really cold to sit on. Anyway I just want to put forward a vote for keeping the old seats there's nothing wrong with them. I noticed in the bin it's got hips and heaps of those recycled $0.10 coin cans and bottles and things One of those big mesh depositories are good because you can see all the cans and people don't just jump rubbish in them This would be a good way to do something environmentally conscious and raise a few bucks at the same time. The nice fella Brian and his lovely wife Heather mentioned there were thoughts to open up the football field I kind of like it nice and open the kangaroos love it too but if you did want to do it and you were concerned about hoons doing burnouts and getting in there and that sort of thing what you need to do is put pine stump logs like you've got around the campground making a driveway in and then surrounding areas for campsites This way you won't get any hoons.

Wannon Falls is a stunning natural attraction just outside Hamilton and well worth the visit. The viewing platform gives you a spectacular outlook over the falls and gorge, and definitely even more impressive after a decent rainfall when the water is really flowing. The surrounding reserve is beautifully maintained with picnic areas, BBQ facilities, and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. It’s a great spot to bring family or friends, and the walking trails give you different perspectives of the falls and the volcanic landscape. Convenient parking and clear signage make it easy to access. Beautiful!!

Definitely visit this! I hadn’t even heard of Wannon Falls tbh. We saw this in full flow since the floods and rainfall of late 2022. Really stunning to see, looking at other photos it looks beautiful even if it’s not as heavy flow.. but definitely lovely to see winter or spring. We went cup weekend time. We did this on the way from Barossa to Melbourne… it would also be great if you’re on a trip at the Grampians as that’s 45 mins away. Also Nigretta falls is about 5 mins drive away, go see that too!

Saturday morning visit between 10am-12am. Quiet. Recent small falls of rain. Sealed road acess the whole way. A short way on a sealed path to the viewing platform. BBQ, toilets, parking at end of rd. Walk upstream and cross the rocks (slippery when wet) to the well marked trail on the otherside, giving you photo opportunities and views at the edge of the falls, and continues along the ridgeline for more views looking back at the falls. Plenty of birdlife, wallabies and Roos. Dogs allowed on leash. Keep your eye on your dogs and little-ies, especially around the edges and...
