Make it 5 star. Several approach roads before the hike. One suitable for 4 wheel drive, the other 2 wheel drive where the Williamsford Road from the highway near Rosebery turns into the Montezuma Fall gravel road for the last bit to the car park. The getting there issue mentioned in the review below will be the 4 wheel drive route approaching from the other end. It is a gravel road for the last bit using the Tasmania Parks 60 Great Short Walks PDF, Walk 27. The hike is a three hour return one from the car park along an old tram track. You will be rewarded with the sight of the falls. A wobbly suspension bridge. Best viewing is from the north end side path from the bridge helpfully marked up with a blob on Openstreet. A snake sunning itself at the start of the...

The falls was beautiful by itself, but if you have seen some impressive one like niagara falls then probably this won't impress you as much. Also if you're a person that doesn't enjoy forest walk for 3 hours (including return), then I won't suggest you undertaking the trip into the forest. There're some areas where you could enjoy a good splash in the stream but there doesn't seem to be a designed place where you could have a picnic or camp. The road in was supposed to be an easy walk but there're many water sources along the path so would highly recommend to wear sth that is water proof if you don't want to get your new pair of walking shoes soaked. The walk itself was a bit too long for us considering there's only a waterfall and a pretty stunning hanging...

This was a very long (3hrs rtn), easy walk and the path was extremely saturated with water. I would highly recommend water proof shoes as it was a bit uncomfortable in just trainers that got wet. There was an old mine shaft along the path that is clearly marked and encouraged to be explored, which I wasn’t expecting and found pretty interesting. There were huge spiders on their egg sacks! The suspension bridge was really cool! The falls were beautiful and super tall at 104m. The road leading up to the car park is sealed until the last kilometer when it turns into a gravel road. No room for van turning, they need to be left at the bottom. Our kids did this walk, with a lot of whinging lol take lots of...

A must visit on the west coast of Tasmania. The waterfall is the largest in Tasmania. Situated Just before Rosebery, it is a considerable drive of traveling from Southern Tasmania. Whilst the return walk is said to take 3 hours, we completed it in 2 hours. It is a generally easy walk through shady rainforest. The track was occasionally a bit muddy so adequate walking or hiking shoes is recommended. The waterfall itself is impressive and the photos online do not do it justice. The suspension bridge also provides good views of the falls. I noticed numerous mosquitos whilst on the bridge, so if you are sensitive to bites, you might want to apply some repellent.
