First Came here in 1981 freshly emigrated from England i was 7. This beach is awesome for singles and family’s with kids Its somewhat protected from high winds being a cove. This beach has a special place in my heart.... when I was 7 I remember almost drowning here in the early 1980’s when my brother(who was a fit and strong 20 Year old)said ‘lets swim out to the cave’ but coming from U.K i was 7 and couldnt swim i was scared but excited to go check out the cave like a load of others were doing at the time... well we made it there ok no drama. but coming back was totally different the swell was pushing my brother back out to sea and he was getting tired hes a strong swimmer but i knew he was struggling then for a split second he pushed me away from him (as at the time i was strangling him and he just needed to breath) i remember sinking like a ⚓️ anchor, but before i had time to drown this big reassuring arm swooped down and scooped me back up to the surface so i could breath again... And before long we were back on the shore. I will never forget that experience im 43 now lived in WA since 81 and I love Esperance and call it my “home town” i grew up here through the 80’s with my brothers and sisters and all my cousins those were the best times of my life I currently live in Perth with Mrs and 3 teenage boys and i would move back to Esperance in a heartbeat 💗 The best beaches in the world hands down come check it out for yourselves youl be glad you did but please remember to respect the coastline and take all litter and belongings with you when you leave.. ️ also beware sometimes 6ft tall kangaroos can waltz on down the track...

Shark flags complete with shark signal siren (we didn't see any sharks). White soft sandy beaches that go on for a long way. Very scenic. Small bit of surf for the kids. A big rock that lots of people were swimming out to, climbing up and jumping off. Good sized carpark. On the other side of the carpark...
