Power's Lookout is an absolute must if you're in the area. When you arrive, it’s easy to see where to go, and the walk itself is well-structured, with steel balustrades, staircases, and stone steps carefully built into the landscape. It definitely gets your heart rate up, but the views are more than worth the effort.

Having traveled extensively, I can honestly say that this is the most breathtaking view I have ever seen. Our toddler managed to do the walk, but close supervision is a must—especially since we lost a dummy over the edge! While it’s relatively accessible, the terrain can be a bit tricky, so keep a close eye on little ones.

If you're looking to take in the natural beauty of the area, Power's Lookout is an unforgettable experience and an absolute highlight.

Pick a clear day and take your food and drink. Besides the two lookouts there are plenty of wildflowers and birds around if that's your thing. Nice spot with amenities and sign posted off the main road from Whitfield. The first lookout is easily accessible and depending on where you park could be a whole 5-meter walk. The second lookout is about 500 meters away. Great views walking to it. The walk is down many steps and then up steps. Gets the circulation working. If you take your time not too hard. Both lookouts give you vistas across the King Valley. There are other longer walks from the car park so there is more than lookouts to be experienced from this spot. If you are in this area, put this excursion on your things to do. Well...

Powers lookout is a great spot to visit, with information boards and two lookouts. One lookout is easily accessible from carpark. The second lookout is not far, but is a bit more difficult to access for anyone unable to use steep staircases.

Powers lookout is dog friendly. The signs at the entrance make clear that dogs on a lead are allowed. If your dog is fearful of walking over grated metal, they may find it particularly challenging to get to the second lookout with the steep staircases. But, with a bit of coaxing and encouragement, we managed to get ours there and back.

The road to the lookout is unsealed for a few kilometres, but, is fine for most vehicles.

The views from both lookouts are spectacular and well...

Definitely worth the short drive on gravel road to this lookout...there is a detailed history of the area you can read about which was really interesting. There are two viewing areas, one near the information board and the other is a bit of an up and down walk away with man made steps, some steel and others rock but its definitely worth it as it passes around rocky outcrops to another spectacular view. There are two pit toilets, neither had toilet paper but they were clean and no smell. There's also a few picnic tables scattered around complete with fire area with cast iron BBQ over. Overall it was an excellent experience.
