surely one of the most beautiful places in the world. spent several nights anchored up in the inlet , and climbed this lookout 3 times, each time looks different based on the tides. pure white sand and the most gorgeous water i've ever seen. amazing spiral patterns created by the tides. great spot for swimming down below, there are a few beaches u can explore also. lots of tourists on the main beach below, but plenty of room to get a place to yourself. even at low tide u basically can't walk across the inlet from whitehaven beach, we saw several backpackers walk 4.5 km up the beach hoping to get across to climb the lookout, but u can't get across. it's too deep still and mostly too fast flowing. u could try to swim it but most people had a camera/ phone etc. we took a couple of groups across in our dinghy but would be disappointing to walk all that way and not get across. cause yeah the view is spectacular! it's only a ten min walk. if u are game and have a shallow enough draft u can anchor up inside the spiral, which is the best spot ever, and an easy walk up to the lookout, but a lot of boats get beached, the water drops very quickly on a run out tide. most boats seem to anchor up on the seaward side of the inlet, but it can get a bit rough there. also u can anchor up in the sheltered bay to the north, where all the tourist boats anchor up. anyway however u get there, it's definitely worth it. one of the most amazing views u will...

We booked an exhilarating tour through Ocean Rafting (captain Kevin and Oak) and they guided us up to the Hill Inlet Overlook. Our bushwalk was not strenuous at all- Oak pointed out Orb Spiders with their beautiful woven webs, tropical plants! Took about 10 mins to get to the top.
There are three unique viewing platforms - each providing a different view of beautiful swirly sand and turquoise waters below!
The trek down was about 15 mins and we took the path down to the beach! The powdery soft sand and beautiful waters were unreal!
If you’re in The Whitsundays- be sure to take the time to head up to...
Read moreThe Hill Inlet is located to the north of Whitehaven Beach. If you go to Whitehaven Beach, it is recommended to go to Hill Inlet. Because Hill Inlet is the place where you can really take amazing photos. Under the bright sun, the sea water and white sand present beautiful light blue, dark blue, and pure white. It is really the most beautiful scenery I have seen so far in my life. In addition, if you want to go to Hill Inlet, you must join a local group, and pay attention to whether it includes going to Hill Inlet Lookout so that you can get the beautiful scenery. In addition, there are also light aircraft packages that enable you to view the majestic of Mother Earth from a...
