Mad Fish Bay, Denmark I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mad Fish Bay in Denmark, and let me tell you, it was worth every step of the journey—whether you fancy the 2.5km walk from Elephant Rocks or prefer the convenience of driving straight to its own car park. The bay itself is an absolute stunner. Picture this: shallow, crystal-clear waters in the middle, framed by a small rocky outcrop just offshore where waves crash dramatically in the distance. It’s the sort of place that makes you forget the world exists. The name “Mad Fish Bay” comes from a delightful bit of local folklore. Apparently, when two tides meet here, small fish lose their collective marbles, leaping about in a desperate bid to avoid becoming lunch for larger, hungrier fish. The real charm of Mad Fish Bay, however, lies in its natural beauty and serenity. The way the water glistens and the rugged charm of the rocks make it a dream for photographers—or anyone with a decent camera phone. I spent a good hour just soaking it all in, and honestly, it felt like no time at all. If you’re considering a visit, don’t hesitate. It’s a place that leaves a mark on you, and you’ll likely leave with some spectacular shots to show off. And yes, don’t forget...
Read moreThe is the final stop of the day on our trip to Greens Pool! Who knew there were so many awesome beaches nearby. With a name like Madfish Bay, you know we would have to check it out and boy, are we glad we did just that! At first glance, when we exited the car and beach fatigue is beginning to set in, we thought it was "just another beach". However, when we arrived at the water's edge, we saw that there was an island not far away and we could walk to the island on a shallow sandbar. Best of all, the sandbar was a focal point for waves coming in from BOTH directions - left and right one after another. We had fun wading in the shallow water and feeling the waves hiting from one side and then the other. It's a totally new.and novel experience for all of us. We walked to the island and back and I took a lot of awesome pics. The beach here is not as crowded as Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks and I definitely prefer here when I...
Read moreMadfish Bay that is one of the 'special' locations in Denmark Western Australia we visited, and it is just a WOW factor! The descent from the car park is a sand and wood staircase led us directly onto the beach, over some easily navigable rocks. Madfish Bay is a group of small beaches separated by natural rock outcroppings and has some lovely semi sheltered coves. The turquoise waters and pristine white sand of Madfish Bay are truly...
