Scenic lookout which provides 360 degree stunning views of the Norman Bay, Whisky Bay and Mt Oberon. The path starts from Tidal River footbridge and is an easy walk with gradual incline near the end.
Throughout the walk, you get the view of Tidal river and Mt Oberon from different angles. Along the way, you can see wombat, lizards and birds. The trees along the way provide constant shade so it can be attempted even on sunny days. There are a couple of benches halfway through the walk to rest.
The last part of the walk goes through rocks and can be but difficult for some people. You are rewarded though with an awesome view of the Norman Bay. Far away you can even see the Skull rock.
From here you can take a 1 km watch to an ever popular Squeaky beach or you can continue the Tidal Overlook circuit.
Overall, a nice relaxing walk with rewarding views. Highly recommended if you are...
Read moreThis is a fantastic part of Wilson's prom. We parked our car at the lily pilly car park and started out hike there. The hike to tidal lookout is easy with uphill hiking early on. You'll find a large boulder for a great view of looking back at the car park and photo opportunities. Continue hiking and you'll see the coast. Another 30mins on and you will reach pillar point. The photo opportunities there are amazing and it is a must do. On the way back we hiked down to tidal river bridge and from there it was an easy walk around back to lily pilly car park. Fantastic hike. Took us around 2.5 hours in totally but we stopped many times for photos and walked at a very slow and...
Read moreBeautiful hike of 3.8km return. It's a fairly easy walk although it goes up. My 3 and half year old child walked by himself the first km without any problem. He was then too tired and returned with his dad. I finished the hike all the way to the lookout. The lookout itself is a bit tricky to reach since I had to climb on a huge round rock, so it is definitely not accessible for everyone. At the beginning of the walk there's a beautiful bridge crossing a river. The view is amazing with the mountains surrendering us. When we came back to the parking lot around 4:30pm, we spotted a wallaby...
