WILSONโ€™S PROM??? LITERAL GOD-TIER NATIONAL PARK. Like, if Mother Nature had a main character, it would be this place. Bro, the second you pull up, itโ€™s like BOOMโ€”pristine beaches, towering mountains, wombats built like bowling balls, and the kinda views that make you question your entire existence.

SQUEAKY BEACH????? THAT SAND BE OUT HERE SOUNDINโ€™ LIKE A SNEAKER ON A GYM FLOOR. You step on it, and itโ€™s like โ€œsqueak squeakโ€ and youโ€™re out here giggling like a fool โ€˜cause who knew sand could DO THAT??? The water?? CLEAR AS MY BRAIN AFTER A GOOD CRY. You take one step in and suddenly youโ€™re reborn.

AND LETโ€™S TALK ABOUT MOUNT OBERON. That hike?? ๐Ÿ’€ DEAD. LEGS GONE. But you get to the top and HOLY MOTHER OF VIEWSโ€”panoramic, godlike, chefโ€™s kiss perfection. You see the entire coastline, the beaches, the islandsโ€ฆ itโ€™s like looking at a National Geographic cover in 4K Ultra HD but itโ€™s REAL LIFE. You stand there like, โ€œBroโ€ฆ am I even real???โ€

BIG DRIFT???? WHY DOES THIS PLACE HAVE A RANDOM DESERT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BUSH??? You just be walking through the trees and then BAMโ€”ENDLESS SAND DUNES. You climb one and suddenly youโ€™re a lone wanderer in a post-apocalyptic movie. And when the sun sets??? THE SKY BE LOOKINโ€™ LIKE A LAVA LAMP IN HD.

WILDLIFE CHECK: โ€ข WOMBATS: ACTUAL LIL UNIT TANKS just waddling around, unbothered, munchinโ€™ on grass like kings. โ€ข KANGAROOS: Out here just vibing in squads, ready to throw hands if needed. โ€ข BIRDS?? LOW-KEY MENACE BEHAVIOR, SOME OF THEM GOT BEEF WITH YOU FOR NO REASON. โ€ข SEALS & DOLPHINS?? YEAH, THEY JUST CHILLINโ€™ IN THE OCEAN, LIVING THEIR BEST LIFE.

AND LETโ€™S TALK TIDAL RIVER CAMPINGโ€”you step out of your tent at 2 AM and LOOK UP and itโ€™s like THE UNIVERSE JUST PUNCHED YOU IN THE FACE WITH STARS. The whole Milky Way just flexinโ€™ on you. You ever see so many stars you start reconsidering your entire existence??? Yeah. Thatโ€™s what happens here.

FINAL VERDICT: WILSONโ€™S PROM ISNโ€™T JUST A PLACE. ITโ€™S A SPIRITUAL AWAKENING. ITโ€™S A CORE MEMORY. ITโ€™S LIFE-CHANGING. 100000/10, would sacrifice my ankles on another hike just to experience...

I had the most amazing weekend getaway at Wilsons Prom with a camping trip at Tidal River Campground and a sea cruise! It was my first time, and I can't express how surreal and mesmerizing the experience was. ๐Ÿ˜‡

Here are some quick tips: Make sure to plan your trip on a warm and sunny day. Book your camping spot well in advance, ideally 2-3 months ahead. I highly recommend Tidal River Campsite; it was peaceful, clean, safe, and comfortable. It has convenient & handy BBQ spots, laundry services, well maintained restrooms. We were lucky to secure a spot at the last minute. Itโ€™s good idea to get cruise tickets a day before from the centre there or you can book in advance online, itโ€™s around $150 pp for 2.5hr cruise ride but itโ€™s worth the experience

For those, like me, who are new to sea cruises, here are some helpful tips to avoid seasickness: Have a light morning breakfast, and something with ginger can help. Choose seats in the middle at the back of the boat. Stay hydrated during the cruise. Take advantage of the sea sickness tablets provided by the staff. Use the boat's restroom or ask the staff for assistance if you start feeling unwell.

I must commend the boat staff for their exceptional support. I had a sudden bout of seasickness, and they took great care of me throughout the trip.

The views during the sea cruise were absolutely mind-boggling and scintillating. It's a must-try experience! Just remember to pick a warmer day, as it can get chilly and...

Great location and some nice walks and beaches. Epic views and photo opportunities. Temperature up to ten degrees lower than Melbourne, but humidity was over 60%. The road was closed to start of Mount Oberon walk - but shuttle bus operates up to the same location (about 5-10 mins). Be aware of horsefly bites - on hikes but also on beaches. j got mauled by the same and covered in red painful bites despite DEET insect repellent. Also be aware of tiger and other snakes which are in abundance. The one pictured was on the walking track to Mt Oberon. If you stay out of their way youโ€™ll be fine - but snake bite kit carriage should be essential for any hike as has the potential to save your life if bitten whilst you wait for medical help to arrive. Beaches are not patrolled but lots swimming - just be aware of the rips and avoid the same. Other annoying thing is there are no taps or showers with the exception of Tidal River beach which is very annoying. No ability to wash down feet etc once off sand so recommend you take your on water if you need this. Overall great experience - recommend as a day trip or overnight!
