Wirrabara Silo Art is part of Wongabirrie Park and the art silo is a stunning display that has to be seen to be appreciated as there are many little secrets in the art work that aren't always obvious. There has obviously been a lot of thought snd hard vwork put in by the community in developing the site with fencing, picnic tables, separate parking for buses and cars etc, sculptures The recent installation of lights are an added bonus; a 'local' said the silo looks beautiful at night.
Wongabirrie Park is a beautiful natural environment and is a walking and cycling rail trail along the creek and even though the creek is dry at the moment, it is still beautiful. There is playground for children, amenities, public art work scattered throughout (some appearing by surprise). A huge open area with lots of space to run free and scattered picnic tables. Currently, there is no shade over the playground but big shade poles have just been installed so shade won't be far away.
We will be back to do it all and can highly recommend Wirrabara Art Silos and the beautiful setting of Wongabirrie Park.

Read moreAmazing work by Smug, aka Sam Bates. The Red Capped robin is so vivid and the details are great. The contrast of the lumberjack and the robin against the background really gives depth to the work. Looking forward to the council to improve the viewing area and provide some information about the work. It is certainly a draw card to the town and with the addition of the Sculpture Park on the other side of the creek gives people a reason to stop and take...
