Carisbrook Falls — Attraction in Wongarra

Carisbrook Falls is a beautiful hiking area located in the Wongarra region of Victoria, Australia. The trail to the falls is well-maintained and offers stunning views of the surrounding bushland. One of the other scenic points along the great ocean road is this spot here where tourists pile up towers of pebbles for the fun of it. What's beautiful about this spot is that you'll never get the same scene as the weeks go by. A dynamic piece of art if you will.

It's easy to miss this place and there's only a small strip of road enough to fit 5 cars. Beach access is via a small trail.

Watch out for wildlife when you're around. Just today I have seen a koala and an echidna...

I visited after heavy rain so the falls were flowing - but I am not sure you'd have such luck all year round. It's a quick uphill walk to a viewing platform. The sign says 15 minutes one way; it felt less than 10, and I stopped a few times to catch my breath, so it's not a long walk. You can't get close to the falls, but it's a beautiful scene to take in.
