Williamson's Beach — Attraction in Wonthaggi

A fantastic surf beach with sands extending out in either direction. There were a couple of fairly obvious rips, and thus not a beach that I would recommend for swimming. There were many birds, which was the reason for our visit. The walk from the carpark is quite easy, along a short sandy track which is tree lined. Wonderful views to be enjoyed from Williamson's Beach. The beach is a relatively short walk from the carpark. You can enjoy the howling winds and the thunderous waves any time of the year. A perfect spot for some fish and chips or a drink at sunset. This remote beach is wonderful for walking and putting your toes in the water. Should man judge nature? What right do we have to criticise the earth - our home; and yet this beach gets one-star only. If you wanted to fake your suicide, you wouldn't do it here, as if you tried to swim, you'd probably drown. Not safe at all; not a beach for children or families. No shelter and a decent walk from the car park. If you want a walk, then beautiful - obviously; but not a family / kid friendly...
