We absolutely loved this place!!! Initially when we saw the price of $40 entry per adult, we thought it was a bit pricey but after spending the whole day there, I can honestly say it's worth every dollar. We loved that there was such a large variety of animals and we also loved being able to feed the ducks, kangaroos and chickens roaming around the park! We loved the array of native Australian wildlife such as emus, cassowaries, kangaroos, koalas, cockatoos, wombats and the cute little blue tongue lizards. They also had a range of snakes, lizards and other birds to hold for free at the reptile show which was at 1pm and was included in the entry fee. On top of this they had a number of wildlife encounters and I chose to do the monkey encounter which was $75. I got to feed the marmoset monkeys out of a bowl and got to spend a fair amount of time with them in their enclosure. It was so much fun! This was definitely the highlight of my day. The animals keepers/handlers were very knowledgeable and could answer all my questions about the monkeys. There were plenty of toilets around the park as well for easy access. There were also a fair amount of tables to sit at around the park if you wanted to stop for a quick snack. The only thing I would say is if you're thinking about going, bring your own snacks/lunch as there is no cafe or eatery on site. There are vending machines with basic food such as crackers and cheese, chips and drinks. There are no full meal options though really if you're looking for that. So I would say eat before you come or bring some lunch along. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who loves animals as it's just awesome! An...

We recently had a fantastic family day out at Capricorn Dinosaur Mini Golf and Cooberie Animal Park. My husband, our 10-year-old daughter, 9-year-old son, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment!

We started with mini golf, which was an absolute blast. The course had lots of fun and tricky shots that kept us all entertained. The shady setting was perfect, making it cool and comfortable even on a warm day. It was a great way to kick off our adventure.

Afterward, we headed to Cooberie Animal Park and were blown away by the experience. The 1 pm animal show was a highlight – we got to hold snakes, skinks, and a few birds. The kids especially loved feeding the kangaroos and guinea pigs; it was a hands-on experience they’ll never forget.

We packed a picnic to enjoy in the park’s lovely setting, but we’ll definitely bring swimmers next time to take advantage of the pool. Overall, it was a great day and I’d recommend it to anyone...

Here in Australia for the first time from the UK. Driving from Brisbane to Cairns visiting all the zoos, parks and wildlife sanctuaries on the way. Cooberrie Sanctuary however was just on another level. Unlike Australia zoo where all the animals are kept very much at a distance from you and the entrance fee was quite staggering at Cooberrie you were immersed in the most wonderful native creatures and at a sensible entrance fee. Birds including the fabulous whistling ducks would follow you around the sanctuary and not be in the least bit bothered by your presence. The large animals were quite spectacular allowing you to feed them and see them so close up. But the truely amazing feature was being allowed to hold the reptiles and the birds and unlike other zoos at no extra cost. Our family's visit to Cooberrie was one of our most enjoyable and memorable. I hope you continue for many...
