Woolgoolga Creek picnic area — Attraction in Woolgoolga

Road to the picnic area says closed with plans to reopen by June 2022 (time of visit was November 2022). You can still drive safely up and there’s room for a couple cars at the top (they’ve closed the main car park due to some overflow of water in the road just before it).

We did the walk to the falls (also marked as closed) with no difficulty. A few creek crossings to navigate over the stepping...

Very nice picnic area next to the creek...great space to kick a ball....nice walk to the waterfall which is beautiful. Bring plenty of moskitos repellent or you will be eaten alive. Must see if you are in the area...I highly recommend the walk, easy enough for anyone and only 1.4km to...

Beautiful setting in with endangered rainforest surrounds. We went there not to picnic but to see Woolgoolga Creek waterfall. The walk was a straight forward 1.7km walk to the waterfall with a few streams to cross though care needed to avoid sneakers...
