Chandelier's On Abbey — Attraction in Yallingup Siding

This is indeed a 5-star venue in terms of its tranquillity and amenities, but a few things dampened our experience of the property. Firstly, the place is in need of a little bit of maintenance, but nothing that hinders the experience too much... mainly it was many of the light switches that were on the verge of falling out, but also many weird creaking and knocking noises at night which hampered our sleep somewhat. Secondly, there was a severe lack of information provided about the property and/or surrounding areas. The display book only had a 1-page information sheet about how to work the TV/sound system, but we could have done with further information (such as instructions for the dishwasher) as well as more information about surrounding places to visit, etc. Lastly, we were staying at the Plunge Retreat (which has the heated plunge pool). However we were only staying for two nights, and when we arrived the pool was not warm at all (23 degrees when it should be at least 32 degrees as advertised). The caretaker was good in doing his best to rectify the problem (which was built-up ice on the heating unit) but the pool took so long to come up to temperature that it was only on the final morning of our stay that it actually reached a good temperature for us to use (33 degrees). Apparently the issue had been noted over previous days, so potentially it could have been checked and fixed earlier on the first day before our arrival. Upon emailing after our return and asking for some sort of refund for not being able to make proper use of the pool, we were at least refunded the difference in price between the Plunge Retreat and the other chalets (which don't have plunge pools). However the plunge pool was a key selling point in us going to Chandelier's on Abbey in the first place, I was never interested in booking the other chalets. So I feel we lost a lot more than just the price difference in not getting to enjoy the plunge pool except for half an hour or so on the final morning before we had to checkout. Overall, it is indeed a fantastic property... but perhaps be prepared for issues that could affect the enjoyment...

Very disappointed - I do not recommend!

We excitedly booked here for our honeymoon but due to a issue we were unable to stay. We tried to change the booking so that we could stay but the only other room (more expensive one) suddenly was booked 30 mins earlier and after we initially contacted them.

At the time of our booking the accommodation policy clearly had a 72 hour cancellation policy on the booking site where you pay and in the confirmation email we received. When we needed to cancel or change our booking 5 days out (122 hours) we were told it was a four week cancellation policy. When I questioned this the website policies were conveniently changed! We did not get refunded and are now out of pocket. They said the room would be re-advertised (all others were booked) and only if they could fill it would they consider refunding us - the room was never re-advertised, we checked multiple times.

This is a shame as we were very keen to stay at another time but we will never stay at the location now given the dodgy business practices and other recent reviews highlighting other issues.

Update: 13 December 2022 - After no further communication from the company we finally received a refund thanks to our bank via a chargeback. We never received a reply from...

This place was amazing. It was so secluded, peaceful and relaxing. The facilities were lovely. Enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come again. It was so lovely to be away from everyone.

The only down points I'll make, there needs to be a barn style door attached where the hallway leads into the bedroom. The sun in the morning can be a little brutal if you're keen for a sleep in.

The other is the heated floor. Its not really a heated floor. It's a small strip in front of the vanity. Not the whole floor. The floor in the toilet is still cold and there weren't enough bath mats provided. It's hard to get them dry again when the weather is a bit cooler.

But overall I would recommend...
