Well Yanga National Park may not be the most spectacular one, but the quiet! The unspoilt stars! The river was do soothing I totally zenned out, sitting under the tree just watching. Such peace! Great campsite right by the river, Coobas Bend, clean toilet and totally to myself. At first there was no wildlife to speak of apart from the birds. Kookaburras, crows, magpies, tiny, super fast finches, a pelican gliding by, a red falcony hunting thing. Then when they realized I wasn't moving the other animals checked me out over the next blissfully quiet days. Road in in very good condition. Thank you for the care...
   Read moreNice park with a lot of nice camping options. Most of the camp sites have plenty of shady spots, although the access to the river can be difficult if you’re looking to swim. The old sheep station is a great place to visit, and offers a good snapshot in to what life would have been like in colonial Australia. Be sure to check the weather before you visit because they are known to shut the roads in the park at the first sign of rain.
