Nice area about 30 mins drive from Goondiwindi. Limited space for caravans and becareful if wet. Gras on either side of track is very long. We stayed 2 nights and felt safe and had no problems. It is quite hidden off the road, by the river which is the Qld/Nsw border. Would recommend as a free camping area. No facilities, allowed fires, big rubbish bin at entrance, so no excuse not to clean up after youself. Others have left a fair bit of rubbish. We didnt drive into them, but there were also 2 other free camp areas fairly close to this one heading in towards Goondiwindi, would be also worth checking out if this...

Lee's Reserve is one of my favourite free camps in Australia.

We camped here for 14 days, venturing the short 30 minute drive into Goondiwindi for supplies as needed.

Located on the boarder of QLD and NSW, facing onto the rivers edge. Free for upto 2 weeks, no facilities, large bin at road side entrance, pet friendly.

Lots of space for big caravans up on the rivers bank and some smaller spots tucked away for campertrailer/tent setups.

It did get busier on the weekends with locals coming down, so I'd recommend arriving on a weekday.

So much wildlife around, watch out for the checky...

Another nice spot just out of yelarbon. Make sure you take the correct road out of yelarbon. Great swimming, huge water area, watch for strong current over the falls. Early rise with the huge variety of birds. No facilities other than what you bring with you. Shame to see rubbish, when there is a skip bin at the road entrance....
